Etterbeekois by adoption and Breton by birth, I was struck from the moment I arrived by the great duality that makes Etterbeek what it is today: a village spirit in the heart of one of the continent's largest metropolises, coupled with a cultural diversity that is unique in Belgium.

Etterbeek's unique location, both close to the centre and surrounded by the capital's main parks, residential but also very much alive, also led me to think about how to enhance this Etterbeek identity, so European and so Brusselaar at the same time.

That's why I felt it was necessary to build a project that puts social inclusion, sustainability and the environment at its heart, at a time when we are facing major transformative challenges whose scope goes beyond the borders of our municipality and the individual character of our lives.
