“In both science and politics, the most powerful reactions start off from the smallest changes. Let’s make those changes together.”
Meet Christophe
Christophe Corazza is currently pursuing a PhD in nuclear engineering: reactor particle physics. With an impressive academic and professional background, Christophe is now ready to bring his fresh perspectives and forward-thinking approach to the political arena as a candidate for parliament. He is driven by a desire to create positive change on a broader level, especially in the critical areas of energy policy and sustainability. His background showcases his dedication to understanding complex systems and finding innovative solutions.
Academic Background
Christophe obtained his Master's degree in nuclear engineering with a focus on reactor particle physics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Prior to this, he earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree in chemical engineering, as well as a Master's degree in civil engineering. He is currently pursuing his PhD in nuclear engineering at the KU Leuven university, in collaboration with the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre SCK CEN, related to the engineering and development of future generation nuclear reactor systems. His PhD research is part of Euratom’s Horizon project, which aims to tackle climate change, help achieve the UN’s energy Sustainable Development Goals, and boost the EU’s competitiveness and growth.
Professional Contributions
Christophe is an active member of the core group steering committee of the Belgian Nuclear Society BNS-YG and has served as a delegate at the United Nations on several occasions related to nuclear policies. He is also a member of the scientific council, contributing to the development and steering of nuclear energy initiatives.
Vision and Approach
With his extensive expertise in energy and engineering, Christophe believes in scientific evidence-based decision-making and pragmatic solutions to address pressing energy issues.
