Friso Coppes

“Even though Europe initially focuses on cooperation between countries, its implementation can significantly impact local policies, such as mobility, small business, and nature.”

Friso Coppes

Friso moved to Belgium for work in 1997 and now runs a consultancy for European affairs. He has lived in Tervuren for nearly 25 years.

He enjoys life in Tervuren, a beautiful Flemish village with a rich and diverse history.

"Aligning local policy with EU policy, where appropriate, really pays off," Friso notes.

Born in Amsterdam in the Year of the Dragon, he is married and has a son. For ten years, he ran the English-language children's bookstore, Treasure Trove.

In the upcoming elections, he is proud to stand as a candidate, eager to contribute as a Dutch citizen to the growth and development of the charming village of Tervuren.

Friso is running with Volt Tervuren, convinced that European cooperation is crucial for the well-being of the village.

He is committed to ensuring that local interests benefit fully from this cooperation, enhancing the municipality's overall well-being.
