“I've always lived in different countries, constantly on the move, like a nomad. And in Brussels, I didn't get that sense of community. We moved to Tervuren not just for the nature and schools, but also to let our children grow up in a real community.”

"More Tervurenaars know Donald Trump than our mayor. That's crazy. But local politics impacts us so much. It's about schools, swimming pools, road works and whether or not our children can cycle safely to their schools and sports activities," he says.
As a journalist covering Europe for almost three decades, Dafydd also enjoys covering local stories.
"That's why I started writing about Tervuren on everything from sports, culture to town politics. I've lived in different countries, constantly on the move, a nomad. So it's great to have gotten that sense of community here in Tervuren."
Since coming here in 2016, Dafydd has become active as a volunteer in various local Tervuren associations.
"Talking and communicating with people wherever they come from. That's immensely important for Tervuren. We're so diverse with 110 nationalities."
"It's great that the European party Volt now has a Tervuren branch. We can draw on expertise and enthusiasm from across Europe to get the best for Tervuren. That's thinking outside the box with European ideas and acting locally at the same time."
