I am dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all residents in Koekelberg by focusing on three key areas: traffic safety, social cohesion, and participatory democracy. Inspired by the transformative policies of Mechelen, I believe that safe, vibrant communities are built through collaboration and innovation.
My vision for Koekelberg includes streets that prioritize the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and especially children. I advocate for the development of dedicated bike lanes, improved pedestrian crossings, and traffic-calming measures in residential areas. I also aim to promote sustainable transportation alternatives that are safe and appealing, reducing car congestion and encouraging active mobility.
Building social cohesion is equally important to me. I am committed to supporting local initiatives that unite our diverse community and fostering public spaces where people can connect, interact, and share their culture. By revitalizing parks, playgrounds, and communal areas, I want to make Koekelberg a welcoming and inclusive place for everyone.
Collaboration is at the heart of my approach. By working with local, regional, and international partners, I plan to secure funding for key investments that will benefit our community and help shape a brighter future for Koekelberg.
