Born in Italy but made in Europe, Barbara works in interregional cooperation and political communication. Passionate about cinema, literature and politics, she believes that European cities and regions are the laboratory of Europe’s future. She is convinced that the pan-European approach of Volt is the only possible strategy to overcome language and culture barriers and generate international opportunities based on local ideas. For example, living in Amsterdam taught her the value of having a public vegetable garden which provides aromatic herbs and seasonal products to local residents, without forcing them to daily tours to the supermarket. In Denmark, she experienced the importance of having a community space where to organise cultural events and activities.
